Anoe Melliou is an architect with Greek heritage, based in Berlin. Exploring therelationship between subjectivity and possibility, she develops reconfigurablestructures that invite shifting alignments and ongoing reinterpretation, attentive tonotions of scale, system and syntax. Through spaces, objects, and curation, her practice engages with identity as a limit condition—situated, performative, and endlessly redefined. With curatorial projects across Regarding Relations, she approaches the spatial and cultural conditions of gendered narratives, addressing questions of autonomy and agency.

Axis is a magnetic candle holder, inspired by the coordinate systems of geometry and the ancient myth of axis mundi, an abstract concept present in many cultural traditions and religious beliefs. Designed as a linear vertical form, accented by a magnetic detail at its base, Axis balances on any ferritic surface. Its modular and magnetic qualities enable adaptability within the design series. Forming a versatile system that generates new compositions and advances into a conceptual spatial inquiry, it can also be interpreted as a vessel for a single stem, styled on a tray. Available as a set of two varying heights.
