The BumBum Vase continues the series’ exploration of memory, material and illusion. Inspired by the translucent packaging of a childhood ice cream (BumBum), with its transparent wrapper and printed square pattern, the resin surfaces translate this fragile material language into a sculptural form. Despite their delicate appearance, the fiberglass pieces are produced using boat-building techniques, giving them unexpected strength and durability. Functioning both as vases and sculptural objects, they frame a single flower like a small still life, merging an architectural sensibility with a nostalgic and intimate layer of childhood memory.
