Frost Lamp continues the series' exploration of memory, material, and natural transformation. Inspired by a winter encounter on the Baltic coast: a blade of reed slowly encased in ice, its fragile organic form preserved and magnified by a transparent shell. The resin surfaces translate this frozen moment into a sculptural lamp shade, the vertical channels echoing the way ice accumulates around a stem, simultaneously protecting and revealing what lies within. Like the original BumBum series, the fiberglass shades are produced using boat-building techniques, giving them unexpected structural strength despite their delicate, almost ephemeral appearance. Resting on stacked ceramic bases, the lamp oscillates between the architectural and the organic, the industrial and the intimate: a childhood memory of winter mornings on Rügen, held in light.
