Cruda

Pamela Hernández, a Costa Rican artist and designer, has presented her work both nationally and internationally, in solo and group exhibitions. Since 2007, she was a co-founder of Re proyectos—a brand that, for nearly nine years, brought to life multiple furniture projects and artistic interventions made from electronic waste sourced from the city of San José. In 2016, after several years of exploration and research, she created CRUDA: a shoe brand that supports and promotes artisanal processes and responsible production practices, engaging a wide network of collaborators. Each piece is handmade—primarily using leather and upcycled wood—with the intention that every item is unique and one of a kind.
